A bit wild in his younger days, this big dire has mellowed quite a lot. While he still occasionally acts up with adults who don't show him respect, he is amazingly gentle with children. It seems kids are his biggest weakness and he will gladly tolerate all sorts of indignities and abuse from clumsy little hands. While usually very focused on his work and not playful at all with grown handlers, he turns into a huge cuddly puppy around children.
