Appearance: A brawny fellow of a very bulky build, Boss makes even the fiercest of Akotas a little weary. He has a chiseled chin, bright blue eyes and a smile that even some of his married crewmen cannot resist swooning over. He has a scar running down the right side of his face and many tattoos littering his arms. Angus often has a cigar in his mouth and a sailor’s cap over his messy brown hair. He is often seen wearing a long raincoat, muck boots, and loose cargo pants.
Personality: At first glance, Angus appears to be a difficult man to interact with. He's an intimidating guy with a sense of business. However, those close to him know better. Moving past his appearance and taking the time to get to know him, few would find him scary. He is a hearty man with a soulful personality. His deep laugh warms even the most broken of hearts. Those close to him often refer to him as “Boss” or “Barrel”. Though many ask where the nickname Barrel comes from, few know the true story. He is also a prideful man with a protective streak that will stand up for what he believes in and take care of anyone in need. Angus is a stand-up guy, one that many love to be around because of his bright and warm personality. Many believe that he is a ladies’ man but this is not the case. He may have a heart of gold, but has never had much luck with romance nor a preference on gender.
Background: Angus used to be a successful captain of one of the largest fishing vessels in the area, but a devastating crash at night left only him making it to shore. No one is quite sure how the ship crashed or how he was the only one to survive, but one thing is for certain: the night that the ship went down haunts his every waking moment. He takes very good care of his crew now, for fear that a repeat of the past will come to be. Angus takes storms very seriously, often avoiding sailing if there is even a whisper of an incoming storm.

Rumors & Gossip:

• Rumours about his nickname; "He can drink a whole barrel of the best beer around by himself!" / "The cap's as big as an ol' barrel." / "I bet in a fight he just bowls a person right over, barreling through them as if they are nothing." / "They say the night his ship went down he floated in on an empty wine barrel." / "He slings the barrels full of cargo around on the docks as if they are nothing!"
• Barrel stays on Alurik because a lady somewhere on the island captured his heart. Usually, this story is told by the jealous woman that the big fella turns down.
• Some say that Komman brought Angus to Alurik to run the shipping dock, sparing his life after his ship went down due to the captain’s adamant attempts to save his crew.
• The scar on his face is said to have come from the sinking ship when the waves bashed his head into a rock at sea and he was knocked unconscious as he floated in on the waves.
