Bemahrii

Maquraq
Warm and humid, but relatively mild for the region, with plenty of cooling breezes. Frequent rain.
Description:
Bemahrii is known as the most eco-friendly city of Tokotna and a major technological hub. Greenery covers almost every building and is carefully maintained to preserve the balance between city and nature. The city is run entirely on green energy and sports massive solar panels and wind turbines atop skyscrapers. Bemahrii is home to many tech start-ups and big name tech companies, all of which are tightly regulated to ensure a peaceful co-existence with surrounding forests and lands. Bemahrii is completely land-locked and somewhat difficult to get to.
Landmarks:
  • TCA Technology Research Office - While not the tallest building, the TCA Technology Research Office (often called the TRO Building) is one of the most ornate buildings in Bemahrii, featuring tall, wide stairs leading up to the entrance and a pair of beautiful tokota and handler statues on either side. Those with an eye for detail will notice that the vines growing on the sides of the building are carefully trimmed around tile mosaics depicting the original 20 starters. This office is where the TCA runs and maintains much of the organization's online database and researches new technology to be used in the field across Tokotna.
  • Mirha Square - This is a large park at the center of Bemahrii. Shops and tech giants surround the park and tower over it, providing much needed shade for most of the day.
  • The Macaw - One of the most famous restaurants in the city, known for having amazing local food, good prices, and allowing tokota patrons. Tokotas may either dine with their handlers at a table or may dine with fellow tokotas separately. As long as the tokotas can pay for their food (with coin or labor), they are welcome to order anything on the menu (provided it is safe for consumption, that is).
Lore:
  • People say that if you are watching for sunrise at the right time of the year you can see the legendary morning bird.
