Much like rarities and plants themselves, growth times are evenly distributed within families. There are an equal number of short, medium, and long growth cycle plants in every family.
Growth cycles do not correspond to rarity; there are long cycle Common Plants and short cycle Rare Plants.
When planting, the resulting plant will be randomized from the plants that are available in that particular type of Seed Packet. You cannot choose which plant the seed pack will result in.
Generally, the more possible results in a seed packet, the cheaper it will be. Seed packets with a more narrow pool, or guaranteed rarity will be higher in price.
