Karvakk was created when the first drops of underground lava touched the darkest water from the deepest part of the sea. The reaction of these two substances created an underwater chaos that birthed the spirit of the deep. He is a greedy spirit that craves all that is not his. Karvakk lurks in the waters around the coastal town of Narnvak, waiting for tokotas and humans alike who are in search of underwater treasure. When a diver explores too close to his dominion, he lures them into his elaborate underwater caves with his warm glow and telling tales of the treasures that they will receive. Once a diver is captured by the spirit, he will take all that they have for himself and release the victim. Those who do not drown before reaching the shore are driven crazy, seeing his lights wherever they go.
