Sikrinerk was first seen in the dreams of children as she chased the dark spirits away. Then next running along the sunset horizons nipping at the heels of straggling spirits. Her name took a while for anyone to learn her name because she rarely slowed down long enough to speak. When scared in the dark many people call out for Sikrinerk’s protection and she runs to their side.

Aippaq has tasked her with helping souls make their way back to the auroras. No matter if they’ve gotten lost or are being hunted down by Meelanik, her job is to guide them to safety. Sikrinerk takes her job very seriously and will bare her fangs at anyone who disrupts a spirit’s journey home.

Protecting the dreams of the young and small was never one of her tasks, but Sikrinerk cannot ignore a child in distress. For this reason parents sew her likeness into children’s blankets and pillows as thanks for watching over them. She is very popular amongst children, often regardless of gender, because of her beautiful pink and purple tail.
