The Loading Dock

Taniya
The beach is usually covered in dense fog all day and the water is bitterly cold. In the winter ice covers a huge portion of the area's ocean.
Description:
The Loading Dock is an old docking site that had been abandoned after only a few years after being constructed. Built before the Pilitak Outpost, the Loading Dock was meant to be a major site of transportation for Tokotna. The first winter after the dock was built was met with a frozen ocean and very harsh weather leaving the colonists to initially abandon the site until spring. Sadly, the harsh winter conditions never improved and those who lived in the area were unable to sustain their livelihoods and left the dock to nature heading south in favor of better weather for the transportation of their goods.

Lore:
  • The dock is no longer standing in the area although there are some rusted ships still visible from shore. The other ships that were left at the Loading Dock have since sunk and are now busy marine life areas underwater. There is no beach. The cold ocean water directly touches the rocky shoreline.
  • Some have claimed the ships house ghosts of those who have disappeared from the area. The groans of the old ships are said to be souls calling for their loved ones. Many have said they have heard whispers in the fog of family who are no longer with them and a few lucky souls have returned from the area not remembering a thing.
  • The area is not only unforgiving, but it's also quite dangerous. The old abandoned ships are completely rusted and faulty can cause serious harm for anyone who may venture into one seeking adventure. The shoreline has very jagged rocks and the water can be quite unpredictable against the rocks. Without careful planning, the ships underwater can be a deathtrap. There have been many accounts of people and Tokotas getting lost in the ship and have found themselves unable to come back up for air.
