Lore says this is a primordial forest that predates both humans and tokotas. Creatures forgotten by time can occasionally be sighted through the fog.
The Sleeping Village was once a self-sufficient home for several dozen families that weathered many, many years in that location, with children taking over their parents' homes. It was a Village of generations, with little interference from outsiders.
Many claim that certain lichen and crystals have many wonderful healing properties, which can be found within the Toothache. Regardless of its healing properties, there is a cavern filled with mushrooms, which some elders say make a very nice mushroom soup if only someone was brave enough to gather some.

Trebok Forest
Narnvak
Towards the northeast, the weather is fair and tolerable. However, fog often covers the area. As the storms roll off the coast and tend towards the marshes of the southeast, this hilly section of the woods sees a fair amount of rain but tends to stay moderate.
Description:
Misty coastal forest. An old-growth of evergreen, fir, and willow forest. If you walk the depths of this forest you may see trees old and large enough that should they be cut you could dance upon their stumps. Clinging moss hangs down in veil-like strands from many branches. The forest itself is home to the remains of a long-lost ancient tribe and various relics from a time long ago can be found within the misty forest. These relics have been preserved by the salty air and are still being investigated by scientists. Evidence suggests that these ancient people were worshipers of Lote Polne. Various paintings and pottery, cracked and faded by time, depict the lesser deity and her confrontation with Borga. Various sinkholes that lead into various underground cave systems are scattered around the forest. One must be careful if you are to brave this area, these potholes are well hidden by the foliage of the forest. However, travelers have begun to mark these dangerous areas with painted sticks planted into the ground.Landmarks:
- The Wizard Stump - a huge old stump that looks a little like a wizard's forgotten hat. The stump is hollow and is a frequent home for Willy the Wizard.
- The Sleeping Village - lies hidden amongst the tall fir trees and weeping willows, a relic almost lost to the woods from which it grew. Some of the forest floor was clear once, now thick with a blanket of fern and wild berry bushes, where a collection of people once lived in harmony with their surroundings. The buildings that remain have been preserved in the salt breeze beneath the canopy of trees overhead show that the people who once made this their home used the trees around them not only to forge their homes but also canoes and fishing traps. Little is known about the people that called this village home nor what has happened to them. While the village itself may lay dormant, there's a mystery in these walls, and a wealth of history to be found.
- Karvakk’s Toothache - A sinkhole that revealed a cave system. A dangerously rotted staircase built by ancient people leads down into its depths. After taking the initial staircase, an underground river that has sharp, tooth-like rocks along its banks on either side greets you. Further in, more walkways and staircases can be found. The rocks along these staircases glow from a bioluminescent lichen which accentuates the stone's crystalline nature. A few large crystals jut out from around the cascading waterfall. Beyond the walkway is a large tree that has grown despite the meager light that has filtered down, it is this tree's foliage that often shields the opening. Once down on the bottom, the water collects into a beautiful and vast pool. Once at the depths, a small sandbar with mysterious relics and totems can be found. The head of the totem that still stands, appears to be the head of a sphinx tokota. There also appears to be an altar or maybe a platform, made from a strange bluish stone. Its purpose is unknown. In the dark corners of the cavern, the remains of ancient kayaks can be seen floating, or beached along the sand in varying states of decay.
