Yeti Mane

Very Rare

The Yeti is a rare mane type found in tokotas, and displays on all build types. The Yeti mane is characterized by long, woolly fur all over the body that forms "bangs" over the tokota's face and covers the feet, and short fur on the face. As with all tokota fur, this mane is a double coat that repels water, although any undercoat peeking out from beneath the topcoat has the chance to put this in jeopardy.

The Yeti mane was discovered deep in snow laden mountains. It is believed that a single yeti maned dire was the source of the yeti myth and it is the cryptid that is named after them, not the other way around.

They have since been bred to be used as rescue animals, much like Saint Bernards and sled haulers, their thick coats perfect for traversing the mountain ranges of Tokotna, though in more recent years they have been bred as show animals.

Regular grooming is a must, with most fur gathered to be used as insulation, much like Barbary maned tokotas. They must also be kept cool during the warmer months.
