History

Seren grew up impartial to the canine family as a young girl until her aunts Erin and Aila Bates invited her to the knoll to come and visit their property. This would mark Seren's first introduction to Tokotas, receiving a rather large and slobbery kiss from none other than Logan Wesley. While she was there, she ran into many other Tokotas, but none had stollen her heart more than a small puppy aptly named Bjorn Calder. The two became inseparable and forged an incredible bond. It was love at first wag, really.

The news of the tragedy came quickly one evening spent at the family knoll. Everyone had just set in for dinner when suddenly, a usually respectful an ever quiet Bjorn started up from his usual spot at Seren's feet to pad over to the door, grumbling low in his chest, his tail paraded high.

Aila, the older of the Bates sisters, excused herself and stepped out into the night where she was greeted by Asa and Officer Smith. When she returned to the dining room, no amount of usual banter or contagious laughter could cure the pure sorrow that stained her visage.

Twelve years later, Seren has followed in her aunts' footsteps and taken up the maintenance of the knoll and its resident Tokotas. She still visits her family every morning, rain or snow, taking an accompanied hike to the top of the property to tend to the four headstones that overview the valley beyond.

She has since repurposed some of the old sheds into get-away cabins for visitors and finished building the barn the beloved sisters had considered their project child, even until their untimely passing.

► Mother [Deceased] - Despite their occasional disagreeances, Seren loved her mother with all her heart. She can be seen sporting her mother's pearls or even her evening gowns on rare occasions.

► Father [Deceased] - Seren often reminisces about the good times with her father. She's often seen wearing his jacket during the colder months.

► Erin [Aunt | Deceased] - Resembling her Aunt Erin, Seren often finds herself using her catchphrases or doing something in a similar fashion such as fiddling with a rabbit's foot or making small braids without a thought in a Tokota's mane while on an outing.

► Aila [Aunt | Deceased] - Beloved Aunt Aila still holds a pleasant memory in mind anytime Seren gets a whiff of pumpkin bread, or goes out on a hike with Aila's former companion, Asa through the local moors.

► Orion O'Cairn [Friend | Alive] - A friend and mentor, Orion and Seren are as thick as thieves. Orion currently takes residence in the guest cabin and helps tend and manage the property, often times picking up the slack when Seren is away.
