Skarbnik (or "Nik") is a dwarf descended from royalty. Fortunately for him, his dozen older siblings made his ascension to the throne so unlikely that he could pursue his own interests. He abandoned his family home and struck out on his own. He also abandoned the traditional dwarven art of metalworking in favor of working with leather. He was triply devoted to abandoning the dwarven 'value' system when he had a child with a woman he met on a moonless night in the dark of the woods. She delivered a child to his doorstep three years and three days later.

A devoted father, Nik has made a home for himself and his daughter in a towering crag of grey stones at the edge of the sea. There they raise Rukaans and Tokotas, and have somewhat of a reputation for taking in strays. That's all Nik's doing. He is kind hearted and sweet natured beneath his somewhat gruff and tough exterior.
