June 15, 4003. Dante Stillworn turns 13. The young anthro feline's parents take him on a trip through the countryside to one of their neighbors' properties. There, Dante was introduced to a litter of Tokota pups, with his parents announcing one was his to take home, as they knew he was old enough to raise and care for a Tokota of his own. Dante immediately bonded with a snow roan pup, whom he promptly named Aspen, after his favorite tree.

Dante and Aspen have been an inseparable pair since that day, continuing to go through life knowing they would always have each other.
