With barely four teeth, a bad eye, and an impressive collection of scars Ol' Crabby is perhaps not the most handsome fellow around.  His colours are a pattern of browns and blacks with a paler tummy with plenty of grey around his eyes and muzzle. An old injury to his left eye from years before gives the bear a permanent pirate-esque squint.

The old man is prone to charging at riders and their tokotas, inclining them to get off his metaphorical lawn, but has never hurt anyone in the area. Instead, Ol' Crabby is likely to give the youngin's a fright before toddling back off to his den. The old ugly bear has a slew of unflattering nicknames but 'Ol' Crabby' has stuck and used with a certain fondness by the locals. The old male guards his territory around Moor stud with persistent stubbornness, but is more grumbles than bite.
