Moor Stud
Description
The pride of the Moor family, Moor stud is an apt manifestation of their stubbornness to survive and thrive in an ever changing world.
Consisting of a main farm-house and two long rectangular stables on either side mimicking pinchers on a scorpion, the courtyard of the Moor Stud is an odd mixture of modern while simultanously caught in a prior era. What had previously been a quaint, partially dilapidated, family home of the Moor family has been updated over the years to be what many would describe as 'pleasantly rustic' by those not turned off by the bumps in the night. Outside the immediate area is a round-pen for breaking in new recruits and a larger fenced in area for further training and handling. Acres of forested paddocks house a range of life from truffling pigs, to the occasional horse, and finally the gem of the property; its tokotas.
Despite more recent renovations, the stud is still rather remote and more wilderness than domesticated. Only connected by a single dirt road in towards the local two-horse town that has successfully thwarted every attempt at civilization judging by the seemingly random patches of gravel and concrete that had long since turned to more pot-hole than road. Large mountains loom in the back of the stud forming a protective half-circle leaving the stud warmer in the summer but colder in the winter when the snows hit. The weather consists of either beautiful days or heavy showers/snow storms (depending on the season) that can go on for weeks at a time. Only the hardy survive Moor stud and its deceptively ideal location.
