Kindred Soul Animal Hospital and Shelter is run by sisters Sumi and Kitsu Mae.

The animal hospital is open 24/7 for the emergency treatment of all types of animals, and is run by a skilled team of veterinarians with over 50 years of experience between them.

Meanwhile, the sisters themselves run the shelter. They work daily with tokotas who were abandoned, many of whom may have medical or behavioral problems. Once they have been successfully rehabilitated, the tokotas are placed in a new, loving home that has been screened to ensure that it will be a safe and healthy environment.

Rarely, Kitsu or Sumi will fall in love with a particular tokota and decide to adopt it themselves. These tokotas will live out the rest of their days as part of the Kindred Soul pack.

Timeline
