Storyline: Malik left home and traveled the wilderness of Alaska when he turned 18. Shortly thereafter he was given a Tokota puppy, Fagorn. The two joined the Misae Tribe as caretakers of orphaned animals in the park system and gradually rose through the ranks until they became full rangers.
While his life has been fairly mundane, a few unexpected events have punctuated it. He discovered that he could shape-shift into a harbor seal and eventually learned to control it. In addition, he sometimes finds himself transported to far off and unfamiliar places, though so far he's been unable to figure out why or how this happens.
Malik found an abandoned Tokota puppy that he named Akpaksrukti, who he later gave to Lacy of Bontebok Estates. With the help of Lacy and Isabella, he begins to get a handle on how to control his accidental transportation.
