Personality: 

Eska is enthusiastic, energetic and compassionate. He strives to emulate those he finds to be respectful individuals and is eager to fulfill the tasks that are given to him. Those who are close to him would describe him as fun to be around, easy-going and respectful. Those who don't like him as much would probably say he's kind of annoying and tries too hard, and that he needs to learn to draw more boundaries, especially with those who are more introverted. 

Eska was inspired by Ahnah to find ways of bringing together traditional medicinal methods and customs and modern medicine to find the best way to care for people of his heritage. He is generally outgoing, and enjoys working with people and tokotas. 

 

History:

Eska was born in the tribe of Ahnah's and his mother, who raised him in a traditional manner. He encountered tokotas at a young age, but didn't spend much time working with them directly. He was sent to the city when he started high school, living with Ahnah's parents. He managed to talk his parents into allowing him to spend several weeks at a time with his cousin in the city over summer in order to work with the tokotas - he one day aspires to have a toko he can do Search and Rescue with, and has been trying to do first aid training despite his young age. He also admires Nika for her ability to control and work with large and sometimes dangerous animals. He wants to learn as much as he can about his own people's traditions too. 

At the time Eska joined the Issoratuyok the tribe, he was eighteen years old. He has managed to get a license allowing him to work as a wilderness paramedic and decided to move away from his parents. After visiting Issoratuyok with Ahnah in the past, he decides he'd like to stay with them to learn the more traditional methods that many tribes, including his own, no longer maintain. Afer a few years he left to assist Ahnah with her medical outpost. He works from time to time participating in search and rescue efforts with his tokotas as well as trying to rescue tokotas and other animals that are being abused. His main mount is Crusoe which has led to some contention with other handlers as the sphinx regularly attacks other tokotas, and requires extensive training and discipline. He also owns Coraline, left to him by Nika, and the litter of pups they produced.
