Outpost Information

What is the Outpost? | Rules | Requirements | FAQ

After the discovery of the ancient Akotas, the TCA has decided to formalize their presence in the Tartok Mountains. With the permission and aid of Thunderfeather's clan, they have established an Outpost in the valley on the site of the expedition camp. Here can be found a cluster of portacabins, tokota kennels, yurts, and tents. A small group of TCA scientists, researchers, and native tribespeople spend shifts of time living onsite, dedicating themselves to the study of these magnificent beasts...

What is the Outpost?

Every so often, the TCA will send out a call for volunteers to help them with various Akota-related problems, which require a bit of extra manpower and expertise. These problems usually include the tracking and taming of wild Akotas, assistance with the Akota breeding program, and the adoption of orphaned or TCA-bred Akota pups.

Feral Akotas and orphaned pups logged at the Outpost will be distributed to the community through the process of a raffle system, in order to stabilize the spread of genes.

From time to time, the Outpost will also offer select breeding pairs comprised of the TCA's own Akotas and Dires to help naturally further the species and to study the offspring of both breeds.

Occasionally, a Wild Akota may slip past the Outpost. These Akotas will be tagged for regular taming and will appear on the Wild Packs journal. Akotas available for "regular" (non-raffle) style taming will have the Wild Tokota import background. You can find out how to acquire a Wild Akota by reading up on Taming a Wild Tokota.

If you're looking to get your own Akota, head on over to the cycling Outpost journal to see what we have available!

Rules

  • You must be a member of Tokotas to participate.
  • Accounts less than a month old are not eligible to enter.
  • If you win an akota (via geno/slot raffle or taming) in one round, you may not enter the next round.
  • If you win an akota via participating in unlocking a Group Goal, you may still enter the next regular Outpost round.
  • Before you can participate in anything, such as activities, shows, breeding, etc. with your Akota, you must complete the Bonding process.
  • If you win a geno or uploaded Akota via raffle, you cannot sell them without first adding value to them, e.g. a design, additional artwork, etc. However, you may gift or trade them to another member.
  • You may not enter raffles or attempt to tame with multiple accounts. This is dishonest, and if you're caught you will be disqualified and further action may be taken.
  • Outpost entries cannot be reused for activities, rites, etc. They should be unique entries created/used for the sole purpose of entering Outpost raffles.
  • Lineages for akota genos won in Outpost raffles will be assigned by uploaders.
  • You cannot add/remove genes to/from an akota geno won from the Outpost.
