Nanao is very fatherly and very watchful of young children or pups, making sure they don't hurt themselves or get into trouble. He does not mind when kids or pups call him 'Nana' but he hates when other mature tokotas or handlers do. He prefers to travel or hunt in more rockier regions where his fur blends in best, and quite enjoys climbing high and seeing the scenery around him. He is known for wandering off on his own to go to the mountains, cometimes vanishing for a couple days at a time, or sometimes just for a few hours. He hates dark caves though, being unable to see ahead of him, and afraid of the exit being blocked. He likes being able to see any and all danger coming his way before it reaches him, not once it it right in his face in the shadows.
