His name is a (kind of) combination of the japanese phrase "Turn to stone" as the greying of his pelt makes him look like he's slowly changing into a statue, which is another nickname he has. When he hunts, he's perfectly still, one would have to squint really hard to see that he was still breathing. Ishi is a perfect hunter and fisher. He's a pretty cool tokota to hang out with but he's horrible at explaining and teaching things. He also has a really weird love for tall skinny trees.
