Under rather mysterious circumstances, his previous handler had to give him up. To this day he misses her very much. He now lives with Toren and although they have a mutual respect towards one another when it comes to hunting, that's about it. Septimus longs for the mountains of home and the comfort of his previous handler. It takes a lot for him to care for someone, and due to his stubborn attitude, he is yet to let go of his pride and let Toren ride him. He can be grumpy and grouchy in the mornings, but won't growl unless he's in a particularly bad mood. He can be, though rarely shows it, gentle and kind. Yet around others he is known as fiercely protective, even of Toren , and cold.
