Grau is a hunter without bounds. He has no regrets running for the head of pack and be the first into the fray. Named Grau due to not only his coloration, but his resemblance to a a great grey owl that hangs around the supply/tack barn. At times, while he's resting in the sunshine, the old owl will watch as small prey like mice and chipmunks rummaged through his fur for crumbles of his meals and treats left behind. On more than one occasion, the grey owl would cause Grau to jump or snap at the bird of prey out of fear.
