Suspicious and slow to warm up to people, this generally shy tokota doesn't respond as well to a firm hand on the reins as one would expect for such a large species. Should things seem dangerous, flight is always a viable option, whether carrying a rider or not. A gentle (but extremely strong) grip is recommended.
