Reserved and quiet, Widogast tries not to draw any attention to himself. He avoids answering questions about himself or his travels, no matter how much one pokes and prods. The only time he seems to be truly happy is when he is reading or buying books. He has a deep self-loathing, believing past tragic events were his fault. Widogast is methodical to a fault. He painstakingly counts objects, even going as far as to count arrows stuck in his own side as they were pulled. He has a penchant to try and pocket "magical" items if he thinks he can get away with it.
