Asaaluk
Widow/The Widow, Widowmaker, Asa
Female
190 cm
Personality
| murderous | amoral | tempestuous | neurotic | frenetic | charismatic | seductive | cunning | dedicated | mischievous | Asaaluk was born into a hellish life that shaped her personality entirely. Born to a backyard breeder (who pretended to be a prestige breeder) she was the apple of his eye and destined to be unsafely bred as soon as she reached her first heat. Her first two years in his 'care' were hellish, and worse still - none of her litters ever survived. There is some debate about whether Asaaluk killed them herself to save them from her own fate, but she will never tell and much myth surrounds her circumstances in those days. She was rescued from the breeder just past her second birthday by the Tsula Tribe. Having developed a hatred for humans and an instinctive reaction to fight and attack other Tokotas if they came near, she was released into the wild by the Tribe once they were certain she could fend for herself. After that she roamed the Kuniak mountain, very swiftly disappearing from the semi-wild pack to go off on her own. Psychologically damaged from the abuse she had received, Asaaluk began to create a reputation for herself as 'The Widowmaker.' For whatever reason, her twisted mind had decided to focus its anger upon male tokotas in general. She would charm and lure males away from the safety of packmates or lower the guard of loners. After (presumably - no one really knows for sure) mating with them she would kill them. Again, what happens to the bodies is unknown and there are many horror stories surrounding this - which undoubtedly is exactly what Asa wants. In general she is seen as a charismatic murderous trickster with only her own benefit in mind. Frankly it's arguable that she's mostly just self destructive. There are parts of Asaaluk that long for companionship and a place to belong...but the odds of that have grown increasingly slim as the years have passed. Truthfully it's a mystery how she would even manage in a proper pack, and most older tokotas would advise their pups to steer clear and avoid feeling pity - as that is just one way to get yourself killed by the Widow.
