Stubborn, Honest, Intelligent. Buck is a smart animal. He is not the fastest learner, but he has a great deal of common sense, something that makes him invaluable as a trail animal. He is stubborn, and willing to challenge his handler should he dislike a situation. He never does it without cause as he will work until he drops but he will not do something if he feels in danger. It is hard to earn his trust, and it takes a lot of trail time and trust in him, but once you have it, he will bring you home safe and sound through even the most dangerous situations. Until you earn that trust, he can be an absolute pain to work with. He leans, he chews, he ignores commands, and will generally cause chaos in his undirected attempts to join the work. Work is what this boy lives for, and he is happiest when on the trail. Hes small, but capable of great bursts of speed as well as excellent stamina for all day patrols.
