As a young pup, Chara was abandoned into the forest, left to die. She was not even weaned off her mother's milk before a disaster resulted in her being forgotten in the middle of a dark forest. Chara has almost no memories of her lifetime as a pup, but she does remember a few senses. The first thing she can remember is the cool sound of a rushing river, and the thick smell of fish. All kinds of fish, freshly caught and swimming in the river, in all stages of life and death. It's one of Chara's fondest memories. As an adolescent she fended for herself in the forest, catching her own meals and standing up to other predators herself. She always had a lean disposition, but despite what she catches Chara is very skinny. Despite her being underweight, she is one of the strongest fighters of the North. What she might lack in weight she makes up for in speed and wit, and her body is like a rubber band coated with nothing but muscle and bone, ready to snap at any moment. Chara is headstrong, stubborn, and won't let others get in her way. She doesn't express or convey her feelings much. She has incredible difficulty with her feelings, even just in feeling them at times. She can be explosive, and isn't tolerant of things that she dislikes. She is a tokota of few words, as most of the time she feels little need to say much and even when she does, her difficulties with phrasing and stuttering on words sometimes makes her keep her mouth shut. When she does open her mouth, mostly to argue or to insult, her words can cut worse then the sharpest of knives. Chara is a very no-nonsense tokota. Despite all her anger and aggression, Chara does have a softer side. She loves the smell of fish and being around water. She often finds herself catching fish if she isn't starting a fight. She also finds it a little easier to be around big dires, and has grown fond of Fiskr, whom she considers like a distant brother.
