Selena is tough and independent, and highly aggressive to strangers. She tends to be a bit of a loner and has a select few group of tokotas and handlers as friends. She is a skilled hunter and can be competitive and pushy in hunts. Despite having the capability of being a leader, Selena prefers to be a follower and is always on guard to keep her fellow tokos in check. She is also rather proud and carries herself with a swagger, but can be clumsy the odd time, earning her nickname "Moon-Moon".
