Large and much like a battering ram when she runs, Wendi is definitely unaware of her own strength and size. When she plays, she plays rough, and handlers need to be aware of this as she can easily hurt someone by accident due to getting too excited - not to mention other Tokotas. Playful and loving, she goes by many nicknames, though her current handler calls her Nita most often, meaning bear. Her other nicknames show her many personality traits, such as Nova, "chases a butterfly", and Alkali, "salt" due to her colouring. Her nickname Wendigo is a homage to her howling often sounding like a deep-voiced coyote or some mythical creature.
