Personality
Most of the time, he doesn't show any emotion, but Dreyrugr is very easy to anger, as well as tending to be evasive and aggressive. He is also insecure, however hardly anyone would notice that. He doesn't like to be near others, except for Blodorn, and is quite shy, but he is a very dominant Tokota. This leads him to be a loner inside of his own pack, and in his own way he only wants to be accepted by them. Dreyrugr also seems to avoid eye contact, however he doesn't submit which makes for some confusing pack dynamics. He tends to growl and bare his teeth whenever someone comes to close to him, and he likes to eat and rip apart any prey he catches instead of bringing it back for the pack. He does, however, bring back skulls and bones that he finds and hides them in a hole that he continually digs up and buries again, a behavior learned from puphood. When he is completely alone and feels safe, typically by his 'bone hole'(which is located by a small stream and cave), he calms down considerably and is able to play and have fun. Some believe his unusual personality is caused by his mother leaving him with her old wild pack, and his father being absent due to not being wild. This caused him to feel lonely and isolated most of the time, and he did leave the wild pack during his teen years to seek out his mother, which he did find. Shortly after, he began to develop a fascination with hunting and killing, which was not discouraged by his pack and allowed him to believe it was acceptable to kill anything in his way, leading him to be extremely dangerous around Tokis and children. Ironically enough, his best friend, and mate, is a Toki. She is the only one not in danger of Dreyri. They are inseperable. When it comes to taming he can be extremely helpful because he acts as a mediator by growling and asserting dominance over a wild tokota when it gets a little too mean, resulting in many fights, and he acts as a packmate because he is as unruly and wild as any wild tokota out there. This is a blessing and a curse, however, because he can easily turn on the handler attempting to tame a wild tokota. It is often wise to bring along his toki partner, because she often calms Dreyri down and allows him to be more responsible. He still does not listen to commands and will simply lead the way and stay as far away from the handler and the other domesticated animals as possible. Unless he knows you well, do not attempt to ride or handle him .
