An older Tokota brought into Homeward Bound Rescue after a puppy mill was busted by the TCA, Maire has lived a hard life as breeding stock. She doesn't let that get her down, however, and maintains an unflappably breezy, if somewhat morbid, sense of humor. She loves pups and very easily takes them under her wing and keeps them in line, quickly earning her a place in Martha's heart and in the rescue itself.
