Hamish is the type of Tokota that sits around criticizing what his packmates are doing without getting up and doing it himself. He is grumpy, hard to please, and distant from other Tokotas, so he has trouble getting along with anyone. Still, solitude suits him just fine, because others are just burdens that get in the way and mess up his plans. One of the reasons he is so cynical is because he has lost loved ones in the past, so he has shut away his feelings for a long time. Hamish no longer knows how to feel any empathy or sympathy for others since he focuses too much on himself.
