Due to Melacholy's blindless, he is careful and shy. However, this doesn't keep him from trusting his handler literally 'blindly' and listening to commands without objection, even if they seem dangerous to him. Melancholy often 'hides' behind things, but since he cannot see a thing, he ends up often standing behind things that don't hide him at all, like thin trees or even small animals. This often leads to great amusement of others and him being embarrassed.
