Many think Szeth is a bit slow due to his near constant silence - he rarely speaks, and when he does it is rarely more than a word, a sentence at most. Far from being simple though, he is quite intelligent and actually spends much time contemplating his own actions and the goings-on around him. Few know it, but he is a well trained fighter and can be deadly dangerous when necessary, though he prefers not to use violence except when there is no other choice left to him. Despite being Dire built, he makes little to no noise with his movements and often startles others by seemingly appearing from thin air.
