Shy and reserved, Smoke shows little ambition to raise his place in the world for his own sake. He may end up developing more confidence and social presence in time, especially as his bolder packmates drag him along into their (mis)adventures and his handler requires him to engage in various activities. For now, though, he's content to let the others take the lead, and to obey his handler without putting up a fuss. Smoke fears being alone, and prefers to stay near his handler or at least one of his packmates at all times. Though he is naturally a passive creature, Smoke is highly susceptible to to the moods of his handler and packmates. If they get angry and act out violently, or experience some other passionate emotion, Smoke will almost always find himself getting caught up in it. Deep inside, some part of Smoke enjoys those times when he has an excuse to let loose and behave differently than he normally allows himself to. Strong emotions are intoxicating, as is feeling powerful, one with the pack. All of this makes Smoke anxious, so he tries to hold his emotions at bay, with mixed success.
