There's a story that comes along with Altivo's name, and how she got it. When her handler was looking through a litter of pups- interested in buying one -she thought it was rather hard to decide. So, after some careful thinking, she had the idea to pull an apple out of her bag, and see which of the pups had the most interesting reaction. Some rushed towards it, trying to grab at it, and some sat away from her, simply staring at the fruit and licking their lips. However, Ivie had an interesting reaction. The tiny pup had stolen her car keys from her pocket, and gripped them tightly in her little mouth, sitting back quietly with a look of determination that clearly said "you want these back huh? Better make the trade then". So; she was not only adopted, but she also gained the name 'Altivo' and one apple.
