Uiritsaktak was a lone wild for some time, living at the side of a lake high in the Ippituk Mountains. However, when he comes across a strange, sad human staring out into the water, he decides to adopt the boy, who clearly needs a friend. He trails the boy across Kanqisat, becoming increasingly concerned by his erratic actions. When the young human's companions are finally arrested, leaving him at a loose end, Uiritsaktak takes it upon himself to be the boy's guide, and steer him away from trouble.
