He has an uncanny ability to make everyone smile in any situation (though most short and stubby-legged things do) and he lives to do it. He's always trying to make angry people laugh and sad people smile, and is distressed when people cry. Crying babies are especially distressing. Bowie is so eager to please, he often goes to the point of doing unwanted things such as fetching unnecessary objects. He is such a good boy that he sometimes downright refuses to do things he normally is not allowed to do, such as going indoors or eating treats.
