Ilk is as sly as her father, as quiet as her mother. She defies all handlers and other tokotas without a second thought if she doesn't know them; a show of teeth and snarling backing her up if she really doesn't like you. If you gain her respect and show your prowess as a handler then she will gladly show you affection, asking for belly rubs, ear scratches, and pieces of dried salmon or bear jerky as a treat. She can be extremely protective of her handlers despite her smaller then average size. She walks with the air of a queen and holds her head high, refusing to be cowed by other, larger tokotas.
