Toni is - in a word, a brat. Perhaps brat isn't quite strong enough of a word. Stubborn and rash to the extreme, Toni subscribes to the school of "do first, think later" in all that he does. He's a very smart Tokota, for the record, at least when it comes to figuring ways to wiggle and squirm out of trouble and putting together the oddest collection of traps - he's just ...not, as smart, when it comes to looking before leaping. Unable to reach a full running speed, and constantly limping thanks to an old injury that didn't quite heal right before he was taken from his old handler, Toni relies on some combination of brains, sheer stubbornness, and copious amounts of luck in order to keep up with everyone else. It works, somehow. Probably better not to question it, lest it stop working.
