Derek is obedient and calm. He acts like a huge puppy around humans most of the time unless threatened. He gets along with most tokos as long as they're not troublemakers. He's crazy for the ladies however and has been known to escape his pen to roam after a pretty female. This has made him a sort of nuisance for his handler's breeding plans and neighboring toko breeders' pens. He is a dedicated father who puts up with his brood's rowdy behavior.
