Striker originated as a draft animal for the military and was put to the task of hauling artillery- it's thanks to this that he is now partially deaf with a slight limp. As a working animal he thrives when given tasks or jobs to do, but grows unhappy and restless when left idle for too long. Striker has developed the habit of hovering around Salem almost protectively and most often in wait for another task and as his new handler, Salem has become the only person that Striker will listen to.
