Independent, stubborn, very intelligent, and has a strong protective instinct. However, Jez was raised as a 'flock guardian' for cattle herds, and therefore he feels most protective over 'his' herd of livestock. He has little training or socialization with other people or other tokotas, and preferred a solitary life with the company of 'his' cattle up until his owner was forced to sell off the cattle operation due to failing health. Initially, Jez was sold to a trainer who promised to make him adoptable, but he escaped confinement quickly and currently lives as a feral dire, seeking to 'guard' random herds of livestock that he comes across. Considering his urge to violently protect 'his flock', and his lack of trust in both humans and other tokotas, it's only a matter of time before he mauls a farmer for attempting to tend to his own livestock. The TCA is quickly becoming more interested in this hilariously bear-like toko for this reason.
