Don't let his adorable face fool you; This toki is a clever, glib charmer who uses his looks to his and his handler's benefit. Pierce acts as the (very persuasive) face of the Toki Search and Rescue team, which means he gets to be the one to handle any and all public interactions. He's the one they send to ask a grumpy Dire about the whereabouts of a lost camper who'd been in the area, he's the one who consoles traumatized witnesses - if there's social interaction involved then he's on it. Ask any of his team: he loves his job...and more importantly, he's good at it. It's said that Pierce was originally a competition Toki, trained first for herding (until it became obvious that he wasn't so much herding the sheep as the sheep were following him), then for flyball (he wasn't good at it and distracted all the other Tokis), and finally agility (same issues as flyball). Fed up with his subpar performance, his owners sold him after another disastrous competition to the first offer - which came from his new future handler for TSAR.
