An older, grizzled male originally used to bait bears and other predators into fighting for entertainment. Lost the sight in his right eye after being gored by a boar. Cunning enough to save his own skin time and time again, he is constantly analyzing every situation. Surprisingly stalwart, with an almost unsettling stillness. Quick to bare his teeth but slow to bite. Does not bark or howl, but if he growls it is best to get out of his way. Ruthless and relentless when crossed. Hard-working to a fault. Old enough that his joints ache in particularly bad weather. His new owner named him qui vivra verra, a proverb meaning "he who lives shall see." Only those who survive can dictate the future.
