To strangers, Tiriaq can appear rather aloof, however this is only a front caused by his shy nature. Once he becomes comfortable with someone, he is sweet, gentle, and unwaveringly loyal. He forms strong emotional attachments, both with his handler and other tokotas, and is willing to defend those he loves with his life.
