Sprocket is an energetic and friendly sort, but can be overwhelming for some. He's got a strong protective instinct, however, and if he doesn't like someone he lets them know immediately. He can have a hard time being introduced to other grown males, and although he's willing to please his handler, he needs a firm hand and steady direction. He has a lot of "go" as a mount, and gets excited just to have a rider on his back. Although he's sweet (most of the time), he's no beginner's Tokota.
