Shy, lonely, protective. Reaper is often seen ghosting around campfires and outposts. He avoids large groups, but something about other Tokotas and people seems to call him out of the wilds. He is difficult to approach, often fleeing back into the shadows when he is confronted. When cornered he can become aggressive but this is only a fear based response, when he is comfortable he is actually rather sweet and gentle. Seen as an omen of ill fortune and death, Reaper is most often met with fear and aggression. Communities will group up and drive him off whe ever he lingers near a settlement. No one seems to see the animal behind the legend, no one wants to help if it means putting themselves at risk. It is rumored that at one point someone managed to connect with the dire and formed a strong bond of trust with him. Apparently they even managed to live with him for a while, until the curse struck and it all ended in tragedy. Now he wanders the tundra, searching for someone that will never return.
