Bear is a horrid, cruel and vindictive Dire. He was born and raised within the marauding group known as the Gorging Boar - a feared nomadic group that pillages and plunders towns and villages they come across as they travel. The Gorging Boars are infamous for their massive band of Dires trained to attack on command and their intolerance to other bands of marauders or clans.

Bear also does not take kindly to the company of others regardless if they are in the Gorging Boar or not. Bear is the oldest and highest-ranking Dire there and his duty is to not only lead the charge in battles but to keep the other Dires in line within the group. He also has a nasty habit of biting the hand that feeds - only his handler, Alaric, is able to feed and handle the large brute.
