Devan is not terribly brave, though he is very intelligent and has a thirst for knowledge that drives him to travel throughout Tokotna - braving the dangers of the wilderness as he makes his way to all the ranches, farms, and towns he can find. Though he calls Windswept Ranch his home, he is very rarely there. Very friendly, his goal is to meet as many others as he can and learn their stories, to record them so any tokotas of future generations who share his thirst for knowledge might be able to know and learn from them.
